There are countless bars/restuarants in Paris and a few really good clubs. Paris isn't famous for the massive club scene that you'll find in Vegas, but it definitely has some great choices. A while ago I found a listing on Forbes that included some of the best clubs and bars in Paris, check out the Buddha Bar (behind the Hotel de Crillon) or the Bar Hemingway (inside the Hotel Ritz) for some of the best drinks in Paris, but both of these are expensive, just as most of the good bars and clubs in Paris are. If you're looking for teens in these bars don't hold your breath, because you won't find hardly any. Clubs you'll have much better luck, mais j'espère que tu parlez français. Otherwise, you won't have have too many deep conversations. Here's a good list of the other bars/clubs worth spending a night at: http://www.forbes.com/2001/06/07/parisnightclubs.html
Other than clubbing and the geriatric bar scene, I would highly recommend going to a few exhibitions. The Andy Warhol exhibition will still be going on at the Grand Palais and is definitely worth a visit. Make sure you get your tickets in advance though or else you'll be standing in a 1-2 hour long line. Getting lost in the Louvre is sometimes quite a bit of fun, most tourists ignore the beautiful and amazing Richelieu wing (wherein the grand apartments of Napoleon III are located) which is definitely worth a walkthrough. Since you're father will be away most of the day you could definitely do a day trip to Versailles (where the world famous Chateau de Versailles is located) or Fontainebleau (where the equally grand and fascinating Chateau Fontainebleau is). For some thrills you could go to Disneyland Paris (which is outside of the city), but make sure you don't go during peak times, the lines will be horrible.
Other options include: having a picnic lunch on the grounds of the magnificent white-domed Basilique du Sacré-Cœur in Montmarte, with panoramic views of Paris. Or simply spending how much time you want walking through the countless streets of Paris. Paris is an extremely walkable city and you will likely make many discoveries on foot. Best of luck. |

Just do w/e any other tourist would do:
Low cost? hehe you're funny :)
But yeah, there's SO much to do there:
- Eiffel Tower (as you mentioned)
- Louvre (obviously lol) --> I would set aside a whole day for the Louvre
- Sacre Coeur & Notre Dame
- Versailles (walk through the garden)
- Jardin Tuleries
- Musee d'Orsay
- Centre Pompidou
- Souviener shopping! You'll find that every place has basically the same thing lol
- Latin Quarter (I only know this b/c I went there every night for dinner b/c I didn't know anywhere else to go lol)
- Yeah, there's clubs everywhere, so you'll find one
I can't really think anymore, but there's just SO much to do there. |
