My favorite hotel is the Hotel St. Andre des Artes at 66 rue St. Andre des Artes. The location is great. Its surrounded by shops, restaurants and convivial places of have a drink. its only a quick walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Luxembourg Gardens.
In Paris make sure to catch the sunset from the Pont Alexandre III which is said to be the most beautiful bridge in the world. Here's what it looks like :http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2162843080045831199XxpvEJ
A ride up and down the Seine on the bateaux mouches, especially in the evening when they light up the buildings and monuments is moment not to be missed.
For a very romantic (and not terribly expensive) dinner give the Coupe Choux restaurant at 9 rue de Lanneau in the 5th arrondisment. Here is their website: http://www.lecoupechou.com/English-version_r28.html?PHPSESSID=17d8ae5ee71ea0e209cf3313d06d8e58
My favorite hangout is Aux Trois Mailletz at 56 rue Galand also in the 5th arr. (This is the area usually called the Latin Quarter). There's a very friendly crew there and its a great place to have a drink or a meal. A piano player and various singers make for a pleasant evening. |

Go to http://www.love.allabouthoneymoons.com they can plan any type of trip not just honeymoons and destination weddings. If you tell them what you like and your budget they will plan the perfect trip for you.Best of all if you use there service to book your trip there service is free b/c the fee is paid by the hotel or resort. |

I've got a little travel blog that will help you out. You'll find the cheapest airfare by searching the Kayak bar on the right side. There is also a post about Paris with some hotels I know are good.
Good things to see are Eiffel Tour, Arc de Triumph, the Luv, Verdun and more and more and more. Paris is a great city. Make sure to set aside a day or two to just wander around the neighborhoods of Paris and discover where the locals eat and shop.

as far as a place to stay goes, you might look into renting a short stay apartment instead of a hotel. they can be good if you are looking to save money or if you are looking for something a little fancier. they come in a variety of price ranges depending on the quality , size , and location of the apartment. the expensive ones are easy to find with a simple web search, if you are looking for something cheaper but good, i'd reccomend lodgis, sublet.com or parisattitude.com |

Take comfortable walking shoes (not white sneakers which immediately will indicate you are american) as it is a Paris to "get lost in", areas that are fun are the Latin quarter (but many many tourist) , hang out in the gay area : le Marais (Metro St Paul) it also is the jewish area so a very wide range of people and shops will be open on sunday (clothing and food or 2nd hand books), enjoy a Falafell at Mariannes it is on the corner of the rue des rosiers and a little square, rude waiters but tasty food, the Picasso Museum is in that area and fun to visit even if only to look at the inside architecture of a hotel particulier. PLace des Vosges is fun, try and find the entrance to the south west of the square into a garden then through an old building which has quite a nice plaster staircase and you end up in teh front courtyard of a former hotel particulier
St Germain des pres is a big fave just avoid tourist cafes and check prices (rememeber no free refills of sodas etc and you could find yourself paying 6euros for a coke, but fun to spend time checking out people walking on the street. one of my fave cafes is cafe de la mairie on place st sulpice, just check all streets around there and around rue de seine etc. have a meal or cup of cafe @ cafe marly on cours carre du Louvres opposite the glass pyramid
also ice cream on Ile St Louis
walking in the Luxembourg garden, nice food at Cafe Rostand but pricy compared to a regular cafe
Montmartre is more diversified and has a lot to offer also
visit - the catacombes, sainte chapelle, Vaux le vicomte (quite a way outside of paris but it inspired Versailles and less crowded) musee rodin (nice gardens)
remember pickpockets in all tourists places and metro especially as you get on or off metro or trains, cafes etc, always have your handbag on you and not out of sight |

Absolutly a good choice.
Paris is a very romantic city.
It's for that I've chosen to live over here.
You can have very romantic and paceful walks around the lights of the city http://www.pizzaconnectionweb.com/Sun+Goes+Down+Paris+Wakes+Up.aspx or you can dance all night in one of the dozens of beautiful night club of the city: http://www.pizzaconnectionweb.com/Saturday+Night+Fever+At+The+Mill.aspx
Close to the city there are a lot of nice place to see: Disneyland Paris or Versailles Castle:
http://www.pizzaconnectionweb.com/Saturday+At+Kings+Home.aspx for example.
Enjoy a lot over here!!!
Have a nice trip |
