I would take the Roissy bus that goes to Paris Opera, then take a taxi from there, as your hotel is not that close to a metro stop.
The Air France buses are also good, they go to Porte Maillot or the Arc de Triomphe, but Opéra is closest to your hotel.
I don't like taking the RER as it is confusing, far from the terminals and just not practical for the time saved. |

The RER B rail line (regional métro system) serves airport terminals 1, 2, and 3 (formerly T9). It runs from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight, departing every 10-15 minutes on weekdays. To reach the RER station at Roissy/CDG, the airport authority offers a free shuttle from the terminals, which stops at the following locations:
Aérogare/Terminal 1: exit door #28 on the arrivals level
Aérogare/Terminal 2A: exit door #5 on the departures level
Aérogare/Terminal 2B: exit door #6 on the departures level
Aérogare/Terminal 2C: exit door #9 on the departures level
Aérogare/Terminal 2D: exit door #2 on the departures level
Aérogare/Terminal 2F: exit door F on the departures level
The journey takes about 25 minutes to the Gare du Nord train station (10e arrondissement), and 45 minutes to Denfert-Rochereau (14e arrondissement). There are seven stops within Paris; four of these offer connections (fr. correspondances) to certain métro lines, as follows:
Gare du Nord (métro lines 2, 4, & 5; RER lines D & E)
Châtelet Les Halles (métro lines 1, 4, 7, 11, & 14; RER lines A & D)
St-Michel Notre-Dame (métro lines 4 & 10; RER line C)
Luxembourg
Port-Royal
Denfert-Rochereau (métro lines 4 & 6)
Cité-Universitaire
The one-way RER fare is €8,00 for adults, and €5,65 for children (ages 4-10). Other valid fares — when purchased for Zones 1-5 — include the Paris Visite pass (1, 2, 3 or 5 days), the weekly or monthly Carte Orange, and the yearly Imagine R (on weekdays only).
The Air France Bus is an express shuttle which runs between Roissy/CDG and the Arc de Triomphe (Place de l'Etoile, 17e arrondissement) or the nearby Porte Maillot. Hours of operation are 5:45 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with departures every 15 minutes, and travel time is about 45 minutes. A one-way ticket costs €12 for adults, €6 for children (ages 2-11); round-trip tickets are €18. Groups of four or more enjoy a 15% discount. You can catch the bus at the following airport locations:
Aérogare/Terminal 1: exit door #34 on the arrivals level
Aérogare/Terminal 2: exit doors #A6, B6, C5, D6 on the arrivals level
Aérogare/Terminal 2F: exit door 0.07 on the arrivals level |

Hire a car service or take a taxi, don't take the bus because it goes through a slum! (where the riots were in September and March)
If were me i prefer car service or Air France bus service that goes strait into Paris for $15 each way (unlike public bus does not go into slum)You can take the Air France bus regardless of your arriving airline just ask in the arrival hall (they speak english)
Taxi: $45-60
Public Bus :( $5-7
Car Service: $60-75
Air France Bus: $15 |

Just as the first answerer said, RER is what we took. We were staying near the Eiffel Tower also so we took a subway from near the Arche d' Triumphe (sp?) to near our hotel. |
