Weather in Nice, France?

Will it be warm enough in this area to swim at the beach during the last 2 weeks of May or at least lounge on the sand?

The weather will definitely be warm enough, but the water will be pretty chilly. Nice is known for having more sunlight than any other place in France. It rarely rains, and should be very warm by the end of May. (70s or 80s). Like I said, the only thing is that the water will be chilly.

The beaches in Nice are small pebbles, not very comfy for walking barefoot. I would recommend jumping on the train and heading west. Stop at Juan les Pins, Golfe Juan, or Cannes for nice sand beaches! (All are stops on the train route within 15-45 minutes).

Have fun!!

It's nice. haha By the end of May, it will probably be warm enough to sit on the beach. Swimming? You might be more comfortable swimming in the motel pool. Nice is a lovely city and the ppl tend to be less stressed out than in Paris.

David
I'm pretty sure it should be warm enough by then. http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/FRXX0073.html

Have a great trip!

It will be gorgeous. Bon voyage. As I recall, there is no sand in Nice. The beaches are rocks about the size of golf balls.

yup, and it will be great. and there are beaches in Nice, France. with sand...the topless women probably would be less inclined to sun bathe if all they had to lay on was rocks.
