Instead of relying only on websites, I think you should get Michelin Red Guide for major cities in Europe. The Michelin Red Guide is particularly good for European cities. It is so authorative to a point that it can break or make a career of professional chefs and restaurants. Getting a Michelin star is really hard so chefs and restaurants are fighting tooth-and-nail to retain their hard-earned Michelin stars. Their recommendations are usually outstanding. But whether the restaurants they recommend are inexpensive and reasonable, it's another matter. Actually as soon as a chef or restaurant earns a Michelin star, the price goes up exponentially.
I do list a number of resources on my websites below you can check them out. The information there is a compilation from numerous sources: guide books, food guides, travel maganizes, gourmet maganizes, word of mouth from friends and relatives, personal experiences (I lived in Paris for awhile and I travelled to Florence a number of times over the years - I do speak both French and Italian). |

I have a site where I review hotels and restaurants that I have visited so it's all personal reviews. I have been to Paris a few times so I have a number of restaurants reviewed. the site is http://www.bombasticlife.com I will also be starting a new site in January where you can post your own reviews. You can fill out the form at http://www.bombasticlife.com/b_bon.html and I'll be going live in January. Good luck and havea bombastic time. |

I just returned from six fabulous days (and dinners) in Paris and used these websites to find good places to eat:
http://www.bestrestaurantsparis.com/
http://www.restoaparis.com/restoaparis/rap.nsf/accueil
www.tripadvisor.com (navigate to Paris forums and read postings - lots of good info)
Also, ask at your hotels - I've always received good, honest answers and the front desk can get you into restaurants when it's busy. |

Try to google it and search off of the links that they provide you. |

Try typing Paris restaurants and even Florence restaurants in google or yahoo or others. You will get your answer.
Otherwise look for Michelin travel guide, look for Paris restaurants and Florence restaurants. The new edition of Michelin guide is up to date. There are special numbers dedicated to each major city in the world |
