I lived there. My husband is French.

Honestly, I think people just think they are supposed to like it and it's supposed to be wonderful: but it is NOT!

Paris is dirty and the people are not nice. My husband shielded me from abuse because he is French but I think alone I might have had difficult time.

Big hassle to live in Paris.

I like Italy and Barbados the best and I live in Galveston, Texas, now (which we LOVE)

Art, history, architecture, fashion. Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world along with London, Rome, Florence, Boston, Madrid, Buenos Aires. It's a must see.

Renate, Are you Michel's wife??? If so please email me. I lost touch with him. I used to play bridge on line with him!!!!

Its Paris dude. The French are the revolutionaries. There are the normal tourist traps like the Eifel Tower, the Louvre, ect. but its Paris! Im sure there is lots to see.

I lived in Paris in the Latin quarter and I will tell you that the pollution from the cars is sickening, the soot on the historic buildings is worse than you can imagine. Notre Dame is BLACK, Saint Severeign is BLACK. There are dog droppings everywhere, they even have those construction port a potty's on the streets for the public to use . The people REALLY are rude , they really do have body odor, and they really dislike Americans (envy) there are a few exceptions but not many. Try to get a sales clerks attention!! You must see the architecture and the museums but if you have a choice go to Italy!!

it' Paris, the most romantic place in the world!!! yes it's dirty but museums are great, the Louvre for example it's incredible Mona Lisa's there!!
Versailles is a beauty, there's so much to see and learn in Paris and the food is great you forget about french people or dirty streets. Some people say that God made the greatest and country and then created the worst people to live there

I once had only 24 hours in Paris because of a layover from Avignon to San Francisco and during that one day I had the best time. I walked from the Place du Concorde to Arc de Triumphe(sorry about the spelling). I went to Sacre Coeurs. Had steaks and frites. Walked past the Louvre. Had a crepe Citron. Leisurely sipped my cafe at Cafe du Flore in San Germain du Pres. It was heaven for one day. And at night I made my taxi driver go past the Eiffel Tower. Magnificent. Just one of the most romantic cities in the world and in 24 hours, I was gone. I adore Paris.
