I moved from Australia to France.
I think in terms of standard of education, of living the two are about the same, very first world.
In terms of artistic appreciation in fashion, design in architecture, I prefer the French's style much more than Australia's.
In terms of food varieties and qualities, France is better.
Health care: France is better for people of all classes, Australia's health care system is much more expensive.
Aussie are more easy going than French though.
Job opportunities I think Australia is better because the economy in Australia is booming at the moment due to the businesses with China, and Australia has very little unemployment.
France, the economy is slow by comparison and there are a lot of unemployment problem.

France is a great place to visit. If you want to live there, it would help greatly to be able to speak French. Also, the job situation is not great, and a lot of people have problems finding good jobs. If you have that good job, and speak French, it would be a pretty good place to be. There is a lot of culture, varied geography from mountains to sea shore, great food, etc. |

- Better Health care
- 5 to 6 weeks annual holidays
- cheap universities or studies
- Good Food & Wine
- Good unemployment benefits
Over all better quality of life than in US.
But no job :) |

There are a lot of French people milling about speaking French. The cheese is top notch. The wine is quite nice and everything's very expensive (especially rent). |
