What Clothing Bands Should I Wear To Paris?

Im a guy and I will be visiting Paris this November. What kind of clothing do people wear? I personally like to wear Ralph Lauren and Lacoste. Are there any other brands that I should consider? Keep in mind that I might be going out to dinner a few nights out of the week.

Frenchmen tend to wear good fitting (but not skin tight) clothes. They tend to not wear jogging shoes (except for tradesmen). Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein are hard to find in France. Popular brands in France are Hugo Boss, Hermes, Gucci, YSL, Lacoste, etc.

John
Either way, being an American tourist, you'll stick out here like a sore thumb the minute you open your mouth =] It honestly doesn't matter what brand of clothing you wear - have a good sense of style is much more important.

ralph lauren and lacoste are good enough for paris. and no sneakers to the restaurant.

zafir
The French aren't really into brand name clothing. Your peresonal style, the way you act, and personality are far more important.

No one cares much about the brand you wear. It's more about the way you carry yourself. Do you project an air of self-confidence? Do you dress appropriately for the situation? Jeans are fine for a day of sightseeing, but if you're dining at a fancy restaurant, dark trousers and a nice shirt will be received much better.

Most people tend to wear dark, neutral colors, rather than loud or bright ones.

Gareth
Really? Who cares? I saw Americans there in shorts and t-shirts at top restaurants...... You'll probably look like the mac if you just dress as smartly as you would for a night out in any other major city.
