If you're actually wondering to know which airport is the best to catch sight of Eiffel Tower from the plane before landing or after taking off, you will have to be lucky.
It's sometimes happening, but it's not often.
From Orly or Roissy, it's possible to see Eiffel Tower, but only if the plane have to go by a roundabout way over Paris West side .
And I don't know flight programm according to airlines, weather conditions, time, etc...
.
Anyway, it depends on where you're from or where you're leave, Orly airport is more used for domestic and continental flight and Roissy (CDG) is more used for international flights over Europe.

Imdashti forgot to mention the heliport at Porte d'Issy. That's only a couple of miles from the Eiffel Tower. You may alslo be able to get a helicopter view of the Eiffel Tower from there.
But seriously, what is the point of your question. Are you going to stop at a Paris airport, go see the Eiffel Tower, and then leave? That would be a shame with so much more to see in Paris.
If that is really what you want to do, then go to Charles de Gaule Airport. Although this is further in miles from the Eiffel Tower, it is quicker to get there by public transport. Take the RER (express subway), change at St Michel and take the other RER line to Champs de Mars. Unless you are travelling in the middle of the night, this wiill be quicker than a taxi ride. |

The closest airport ever to Eiffel Tower is Velizy airport in Villacoublay to the southwest of Paris. It is about 11.5 km from the Tower in direct distance. By road, it is about 16 km taking about 22 minutes. Of course, this is not a commercial airport, but a military one.
The next closest airport is Orly in the south of Paris which is about 15.6 km direct away from the Tower. By road, it is about 23.5 km taking about 25 minutes. |

The two main airports are Orly and Charles de Gaulle. Orly is closer to the Eiffel Tower, but Charles de Gaulle is larger with more flights. If you're planning on taking a taxi, then it's cheaper from Orly to the Eiffel Tower...about 35 euros from Orly compared to 50 euros from Charles de Gaulle. You can also take the Air France bus from either airport to the Eiffel Tower. |
