Parisians are insolent, they don't give their trust to any parachuted cretin, they are the heart of all historical revolutions, they worship culture and brilliant speech - they have a very sarcastic humour which is often misunderstood.
They are very independent, but like to believe that they know all around Paris the best place to buy their wine, then best one to buy their veggies , then best place to buy their socks etc - etc

Each parisian is a huge puzzle in himself - a unique personality, full of unexpected corners and tricks - kind of people whom you worship or hate - People without wit generally hate us, or classify us in the "rude" category -

The best thing which represents parisians is coffee black, and bitter chocolate - you like or dislike - if you dislike that's your problem ;o)))

The idea of this French or Parisian way is simply perception. Having lived in Europe for several years, I have yet to quite understand what French food is and what I have tasted I do not like. One thing though is...Parisians are very open to diversity.

I'm french ( from Bordeaux) and I can tell you parisians are pretentious and not very welcoming . But paris in so beautiful...parisians as smokers is now stereotyped because now there is in france a law who forbid smoking everywhere exept in the street

Being rude. At least, that is the general consensus from outsiders, but I wouldn't want to generalize about all Parisians.
