10-15 euros total for two people is going to be a bit restrictive. Your best bet is to buy sandwichs and other take out food from supermarkets or any of the many street stands that you will find in Paris.
Take a look at the prices on the menu for Chartier, usually thought a reliable cheap place to eat a sitdown meal to get an idea of prices: http://www.restaurant-chartier.com/www/visit/atable.php
If you are a student however and can produce a student identity card, you are welcome to eat at the cafeterias provided for students in Paris. The food is adequate and quite cheap. There english language website can be found here:http://www.crous-paris.fr/restauration/index_en.asp?sr0=2&sr1=0&sr2=0 |

There are some great crepe places around Bastille ( Im talking monster crepe with cheese, veggies).
I love Lebanese places for Chicken Schwarma (theres a great place called Au Coeur de Liban near Metro: Jacques Bonsergant-going up towards Canal St. Martin)
Chartier is great for a real parisian experience! albeit a bit touristy.
Now i dont know prices but for VEGAN french fare visit:
Le Potager du Marais
22 Rue Rambuteau
75003, Paris
other veg options are:
Piccolo Teatro: 6, rue des ecouffes
Le Grenier de Notre Dame: 18, rue de la bucherie
Le Cinq Saveurs: 72 rue cardinal lemoine
La Petite Legume: 36, rue des boulanger |

Check out the food court in the Louvre. They have quite a selection. There is also Universal Burger in the food court...offers up one tasty Veggie Burger! Last year, we ate a lot of meals here.
There are sandwich stands and you can hit up a grocery store for a picnic lunch. Crepes are always good. You can actually get a croque monsieur (grilled ham and cheese, basically) for less than 5 Euros. It's quite tasty.
The menus are posted outside the eating establishment so you can check out what they have to offer (and prices) before going in. If you order "un carafe d'eau" (a pitcher of tap water), you'll save a lot of Euros--it's free. If you just order water, you'll get a bottle of sparkling water for 3-4 Euros. Coca-Cola can run you up to 6 Euros.
It may be difficult to eat well on a budget, but not impossible. |
