What are some attactions in Paris that a 22 year old male will like? PLZ HELP?

My. bf and I want to go away and we decided Paris (may/june 08) but now he has seconds thoughts because he is more into technology and cars and not old world charm etc. What are some things that a man would like to do in Paris? Anything to help me convince him that he will love it too. I already said we can see Moulin Rouge(sorry for spelling if I'm incorrect. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated

ok we have been dating for almost 4 years so its not so easy to just "dump" him like that. He really wants to go to Japan but he promised me he would take me to Paris for a college graduation gift, so the fact that a young guy is willing to do that and pay for most of it is somewhat a good thing don't you think?

Paris is a lot more than "old world charm." It is the most popular tourist destination in the Western world.

There's a reason for that.

Paris is an unbeatable collection of culture, cuisine, sophistication, art, history, rowdiness, intellectual acheivement, music venues, dance halls, strip clubs, hip cafes, trendy bars, both tradition and innovation living side by side.

The clubs don''t get going until midnight and stay open until the sun comes up. You can hear every type of music from jazz to hip hop to opera.

You'll eat food so good it will make you cry to think of all the crappy fast food you've wasted your time with.

You can walk in the steps of Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. You can visit Shakespere and company, the quirky English language bookstore which first published the work of James Joyce and Henry Miller when both were considered pornography by the establishment bluenoses in england and the USA.

You can go the Cafe Procope and sit in the same booth that Benjamin Franklin used.

You can sip a glass of wine at the Cafe des Deux Magot where Jean Paul Sartre hung out.

You can go up to Montmartre and walk the same streets and drink in the same cafes that Pablo Picasso and Utrillo favored.

You can even get drunk at the Mazet where Jim Morrison had his last drink in public before keeling over with an overdose. then you can wake up the next morning and visit his grave at the Père-Lachaise Cemetery.

And mainly you can immerse yourself in one of, if not the most, romantic places on Earth. And if your BF isn't up for that then maybe you ought to go by yourself because I bet you'd find a replacement with no trouble.

Alternatively, handcuff him and stuff him in your luggage but GO!

P.S. forget the Moulin Rouge, its a ludicorusly expensive tourist trap.

There are many automotive attractions in Paris, a very good museum for old cars plus really nice show rooms in the Champs Elysees...There's also some driving schools with Porsches and Ferraris to rent on circuit just outside Paris, but they are rather expensive.

Dump your bf, you will never have many things in common of substance. He's still a boy playing video games. I went to Paris 2.5 years ago, the only problem was, I did not have enough time to see everything. Go to Paris with a girlfriend or a guy who would really appreciate what Paris has to offer, the city is so rich with culture, just driving through the city and to admire the architechture is unbelievable. He may never be ready for an experience like that, I know you don't want to drag him to every venue, find someone who will go willingly.

if your bf is a techno addict, you could visit the "Cité des Sciences" in the "La Villette" Quarter :
all the new technologies are exposed and explained, plus a planetarium, and a theater displaying 3D and Imax movies
