Mont Blanc tunnel is the fastest way from France into Italy. The tunnel itself is entered, on the French side, just above Chamonix and brings you out just above Courmayeur, in Italy. If, however you you want tour around you can get into Italy from Switzerland via the Grand St Bernard Tunnel which enters Italy about 10km above the town of Etroubles. The only other routes are very scenic, in good weather, providing you don't mind narrow, twisting mountain passes. You can come this way and enter Italy via La Thuile. |
