As your teacher/trip organizer about organizing fundraising for the trip. When I did this in high school, we sold chocolates and I was able to raise quite a lot!

I don't knows your swim club but mine hires mature 13 year olds to work at the concession stand

haha i will probably be going on that same tour...with EF. but what my sister and i are doing to raise money is babsitting, lawn mowing and getting friends together for car washes sounds lame but we made in excess of $1300. Also major publications such as publix, blockbuster, pizza hut will donate money to your cause if you fill out paper work and make some calls applying for the money... best of luck

That sounds horrendously expensive. Will you be only staying in 5 star hotels?

Why don't you get together with a couple of your school friends and plan a parallel trip of your own in a couple of years.
I first went to France on my own when I was 16 and had a great time.

Another idea, try and organise an exchange with a French pupil .You can do that from age 11 up. The French family meet you at the airport and show you the local life. That would work out a lot cheaper and probably be a lot more enlightening. Then you can do the same with Spain next year.

Can you wait a few years to go on the trip? There is not much you can do at age 13 to make money. That sounds like a great trip, though. I went on one that was about $4500 to Madrid, Toledo, Salamanca, Lisbon (Portugal), Seville, MÃ¡laga, and Granada with my school. I am in high school. It was the most amazing time of my life. I had to save $1000 of souvenir money before I went. I have a job and that was hard! Ask your parents to pay and maybe when you are old enough to get a job you can pay them back. A few years ago a new idea came to the world of internet markenting. It include an easy way to make some extra money
