Andrea
just wear regular clothing
don't wear those french hats and don't wear abercrombie convers hollister etc. nothing name brand
maybe wear a few floral dresses and just play it casual
trust me
my brother wore an abercrombie shirt everyday while we were in rome and everyone was looking at him odd
also
don't carry a big camera around and act like a tourist
pretend that you have already seen everything before

Assuming you are a young lady of generally good taste (and I'm also assuming you're an American) you will find that the only adjustment you need consider for your wardrobe is selecting items of neutral and/or muted colors.

We live in a globalized world and the French wear clothing made in the same Chinese factories as do Americans.

Also, be assured that the average Parisian is busy going about his business and really doesn't have the time to stop and criticize your clothing. Moreover, you will be only one out of the literally tens or even hundreds of thousands of tourists in Paris on any given day. So you needn't be concerned about being singled out. If you do interact one on one with a Parisian they will immediately know you are a tourist unless you speak fluent, Parisian accented, French.

If Americans do stand out it is often by their behavior. In addition to muted colors for clothing the French tend to be generally quieter than Americans, less boisterous, and less apt to do anything that calls attention to themselves.

I think no matter how hard you try you will look like a tourist because you won't have French clothes. To be less noticeable though, I'd say no to much of anything bright, except your purse sounds cute :) No name brands is also a good idea. Jean skirt sound fine. If I saw your wardrobe I would know, but hard to say with just random ideas :) I am american but when I am in paris french people approach me for directions, but I don't really know why or if it has to do with my clothes. Good luck and have fun!

Easy.

Black beret
black and white horizontal striped long sleeve shirt
red handkerchief around your neck
black leggings
clove cig in your mouth
a scowl and no deodorant

Peace son!

Just wear what you normally would if you were in NYC or LA. Something that isn't trashy and if you really want to blend in, buy a few t-shirts there. They do have those name brand stores, but if you where a t-shirt and such try and have little to no writing on it. The colors are perfectly fine, especially in the spring. HAVE A NICE TIME THERE!!!! Oh...and walk along the river there and try to find Shakespeare and Co. book store. Both are fantastic.

This week a famous french pole vaulter is going around with just his vaulting pole. He blends right in, maybe you play a sport that uses something to carry too.
(you can catch him on the huffington post, video, with link to original without the modesty blackout.)
