What do French cafes look like?

Cafes in either a small French town or in the towns north of Quebec City will do.

In general, French cafes are small and somewhat dark. They are frequently found on a small street or a town square. French cafes, by definition, are family operated and space is limited. I can't say about cafes in Quebec, but space is not such an issue.

don't forget the smoke, everybody is going there to enjoy a coffee and a cigarette...

beautiful,and well decorated,i have been in 50-60 different cafe;s i love them.

Im french and i know Québec city, but cafes are different in France.

In France cafes are small and pleasant, everybody speaks about everything (politics, sports, problems of the everyday life)

Be careful ! A french coffee is an EXPRESSO. It's very different from the very long coffee of US)
