I learned to speak French during 7 years in Montreal.
The French tend to be very polite about my accent and will sometimes venture to say that it is "charming." (However, I notice that they also seem to be giggling and/or rolling their eyes while they say this.) |

Quebec is known for its singers so this subject might come up. If you're from Quebec, I would recommend refraining from wearing any racoon caps or anything with a Moose motif on it while in France ;)
Btw, Quebec is the featured "country" at the Strasbourg Christmas market this year.
