You do not say if your project is supposed to be in French or in English, and obviously your teacher will know about the Wikipedia site already given to you, so you also have to add original touches that will make your project a little different, which is why I am giving you some pointers to other information below. You do realise that if you scroll down the left hand side of the Wikepedia info given in English you will find the same article in French amongst the language options.
Lyon is one of the most important towns in France historically, culturally and economically, and it also is famous as a culinary center and for its football team. Lower down the map some chefs have built hotels which are renouned because the inovative kind of cuisine which is served there, using ingredients that grow wild in the mountains.
The Alps not only are beautiful mountains, but because of barrages and the exploitation of water they provide a great deal of the French electricity supply.
C'est une région magnifique. D'abord elle comprend non seulement la vallée du Rhône et de la Soane qui sont deux beaux fleuves, mais aussi les Alpes qui sont des montagnes spectaculaires, et un grand nombre de lacs. Les paysages y sont splendides,quelque soit la période de l'année, mais en hiver les montagnes sont couvertes de neige et on peut y faire toutes sortes de sports d'hiver. Les premiers jeux olympiques eurent lieu en Savoie (Chamonix).

et d'autres avec une longue histoire comme Lyon donc visitées par beaucoup de touristes, et certains des meileurs chefs cuisiniers de France se sont établis dans cette région ouvrant des établissements renomés car ils ont gagné de nombreuses rosettes Michelin.
Lyon est aussi connue pour son Ă©quipe de football.
