Hi, France is a very beautiful country and each area is unique and different: mountain, sea, lake, forest or cities... gastronomy, culture, entertainment... you have everything.. french such as american are very proud of their country and themselves... so don't be surprise about some commentary! I'm Swiss French and don't excuse yourself about your english.. many people don't know to write ;-) |

of course france is beautiful! I love it and have lived there in the past although i am american and did, in fact, have some issues with the anti-americanism. this wasn't usually directed at me as i am (was) fluent in french, but could become quite boring to deal with when i was just one person who was trying to enjoy my time living in a country that i loved. i found it frustrating to constantly end up trying to explain/defend "my" country when i had never considered myself quite a patriot to begin with. i am babbling.
in any case. i cannot wait to go back, to revitalize my francais and to explore more of that beautiful, diverse country.
please don't hate americans; we're just people born in the USA trying to live our lives. feel free to dislike our politicians. ;) |

France is a beautiful country. I visited the south eastern portion of France in 2005. My husband and I drove from Spain. We visited Toulouse, Carcasonne, (my spelling may be a bit off), Narbonne, and several other places along the way. We had a fantastic time. The people were quite hospitable and extremely friendly. My French was a little rough around the edges but we still managed.
We are from Canada and didn't have anyone treat us badly.
We found many different nationalities visiting the same areas as us. In fact, we had supper with some German students in Toulouse. Had a fantastic time. |

Yes, it's a beautiful country. That's why it has always been a popular tourist destination for the more forward-thinking type of Germans.
The population are full of vainglory, intellectual posturing and peasant cunning.
They still worship Napoleon in a way that Russians still admire Stalin, and for the same reasons. |

People in France hate America. And you're not American so I'm assuming you are French, which means you hate me. It is a beautiful country, but they'll hate me so I wouldn't want to visit. It'd be pretty cool to go to England or something, though |
