I like their simplistic attitude! And I also admire many French men that were very intellectual, such as Voltaire and Rousseau. I think it's a great country for people that get the hang of it. There are some specific things about it that are overrated but still, France is beautiful and amazing in its own way.

Farm bred... why not try venturing out of "your area" so as to acquire some first-hand experience from which you could draw your own conclusions?

I'm just back from Paris and I have to say that not only is the city amazing and beautiful, but the diversity of the population had me smiling and wishing the rest of the world could be the same. Sure, there are problems, but I like the fact that they are liberal at heart and they have an incredible love for the arts.

France is O.K. they are just being French and Independent. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. I have been to France, spent over 2 years there when I was in the US Military, was at Chaumont (Haute-Marne) Air Base. Je suis charme de faire votre connaissance. A bientot.

I really don't know much about France or any French people, but the general impression about France from my part of the country is that they are extremely liberal in their politics, not inhibited by morality, and not very dependable when it comes to their allies. Most people think that even though many countries have had to help France out of tough situations in the past, the French are basically ungrateful and would stab you in the back if it suited their purposes. Sorry, but I am trying to be truthful about how people in my area perceive France.

Overall, France is a nice country. I love the literature and the language. Too bad there are French people living in it!

I studied French culture, language and literature in University and I absolutely adore it. However, my love for the French people is mixed. I have visited France a number of times and in my experience, the greatest concentration of arrogance, dinginess and rudeness is in Paris, Cote d'Azur and Biarritz (just cross over from San Sebastian/Donostia in Spain into Biarritz, France and the difference is like night and day). However, in Provence (especially east of Paris - Lyon, Dijon) you can already see a difference in attitude and upkeep and as you progress Northwest...it just gets better...Normandie is my favourite part of France, not only for the beauty but the awesome and inviting people (especially in Deauville & around Mont St. Michel). I would still go to Paris but won't make it my destination in France.

When I mention to some of my friends that I'm part of French, they laugh and say I'll never win an argument, case, fight etc.

But then again, they're just joking...I hope.

xD

I've heard a lot of different things about France, but I know I think it's beautiful and the people there are as well. Don't worry about it. :)

I would like to go there some day. It seems like a beautiful country. As for all the anti-france stuff here in America, I gotta tell you, I don't understand it. I don't think people here know anything about history or care to for that matter.
