I believe you can catch the train very easily from Nice to Monaco, very nice (expensive thought) city.

Peace...................... Off.

Eze Village - beautiful medieval village set in hills above Monte Carlo. No cars and loads of quaint little streets and shops built into rock. Would love to go back again.

Monaco , Antibes, Juan les pins. All the small towns are beautiful, La Cote d'azure is one of the best place to go on holidays. Sea sun and great fresh food from the sea..

Uh, you can get to just about anywhere in Europe by train from Nice. Did you just drop into Nice from another planet?

Bordighera or San Remo in Italy on the Riviera dei Fiori in Italy just the other side of Monaco.

Grasse in the hills above Nice and visit the perfumeries.

Visit the palace in Monaco.

Go shopping in Cannes.

It all depends on how long you have. But when I go there, I usually go to Monaco too, it's pretty cool and not very far. Cannes of course where the movie festival takes place... And my advice would be go to Grasse for a day or two, you can take the bus, it's not that expensive and it's a nice town and it's world capital of perfume...
Oh and yeah, you can go to Menton which is right by the italian frontier or you can go all the way to Italy, your choice!

There are plenty of civilised, pleasant countries you can visit by leaving Nice - and the rest of France for that matter. Just keep going until the people you meet are no longer arrogant tossers who stink of garlic and whinge about everything. That way you'll be well shot of France.
