What hotel do you recommend me to stay at in Paris ?

What hotel do you recommend me to stay at in Paris so that I am close to most attractions OR close to a metro staion (budget <49 pounds per night).

Is there a metro in paris?

The Hotel St, Andres des Arts ( http://www.123france.co.uk/en/0/hotel-saint-andre-des-arts-paris_486_en/index.html ) or the Hotel du Nesle ( http://www.hoteldenesleparis.com/ ) fit the bill.

And yes, of course there is a Metro in Paris as that is where the term "Metro" comes from. The Paris Metro is the best subway system anyplace in the world.

The fact is that if you stay in the city center you are never far from a metro station or too remote from tourist attreactions. If the two hotels I suggest are not to your satisifaction then I suggest you consult the eurocheapo site and select a hotel in either the Latin Quarter, Marias or St. Germain de pres areas. http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/

I suggest you hotel Ascot Opera - rue Monsigny no.2. It's a small one, in a very safe area, but very, very close to the main beauties of the city. Of course there is a metro in Paris (the station 4 September is 2 minutes from this hotel), but you can easily walk and see almost everything you want from the Ascot.
