There are plenty of hostels and you may be able to find reviews for them. If you are traveling with one or more other people I'd suggest you look into an inexpensive hotel instead.
The owners are very friendly, it's inexpensive, and in a great location. It's very close to the opera house and the major train station Gare St Lazare (2 blks).
