I am thinking of going to Paris with my husband for Valentine's Day. I don't want a really expensive hotel and I'd like it to be close to the Metro line so we can get around. Any help would be great or even a recommendation for a travel company that does nice tours of France/Paris area.
A very nice hotel, right in the center and within a few dozen yards of the Odeon metro stop is the Hotel Left Bank St. Germain. http://www.paris-paris.com/hotel_left-bank_saint-germain.php
Its quite a romantic place and the area is very lively. For a nice romantic place to have dinner when there check out le Coupe Chou http://www.lecoupechou.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=17d8ae5ee71ea0e209cf3313d06d8e58

A choice that isn't too expensive is the 2 star Hotel de Roubaix. It's near the Marais, as well as about 1.5 blocks from a metro stop. I've stayed there 3-4 times with parents/on my own. For a double, it's 77 Euros with a bathroom en suite (in the room) and breakfast. The rooms aren't American-big (pretty normal for Paris), but they're nice and clean. Ask for a room with a window on the street (it's quiet).

Transat has tours, cars, hotels, air, and most other things you'd need - www.transatholidays.com or go to a local travel agent. Hotels are expensive in Paris. A more modest but comfortable hotel is the Hotel des Mines.
