They are more culturally aware. How many English speak French compared to how many French speak English.
Seriously how could anyone put the land of bad food and warm beer above the two hour fine wine lunch and the sexiest women in the world. |

Make money in England to eat out in France, I guess that's the message here |

If you look at the number of British buying a house in France (plenty to the point of driving prices up), and the number of French buying a house in the UK (very few) it is obvious that most people believe that France is better to live in. Once you get the money needed you move to France. |

I think that France is beautiful, and the food it's great, and the eiffel tower and fashion..
But i prefer england, cause it's more social, and cheaper and you have lot of fun.
So,maybe ,France is better to go on holidays but england is better to live |

Well, what I appreciate the most in France, in 10 points, are:
1) Countless speedometers with camera and flash along the roads with a very narrow threshold of tolerance (beware!)
2) The most effective censorship I have ever seen in democratic countries.
3) Good food, but very expensive (owing to an unbearable and oppresive tax system)
4) The Renseignement Généraux and the Gendarmerie always looking into your private business and life (it looks like it's obsessional, seemingly...)
5) Compulsory political correctness (under threat of losing your job and never be able to get another one anymore...)
6) Everyone is dressed in cheap dark clothes and display sad or worried faces.
7) You must feel guilty if you make good money in this country (and beware when you have a luxury car, for worse...).
8) The state is discreetly present at nearly all level of private business.
9) The price of gas, and the dissuasive price of insurance for motorcycles (which truly is a shrewd trick the so influential state did to make sure young people cannot any longer enjoy riding on motorcycles...)
10) The general "hapiness" you'll never miss to notice everywhere you go in this country.
P.S.: a rumor says that the motto "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité" is going soon to be changed for: "It's like that, and that's all..." |
