Very many things: the culture, the fantastic historical heritage, the art, the food, the quality goods, the beautiful countryside, the variety of the landscapes, the number of great writers, musicians, composers, architects, famous painters and artists, the great couturiers, the flair for clothing, the wonderful perfumes made with real flowers, and the high quality cosmetics. The French make a huge variety of good wines. The agriculture is diversified and produces vegetables and fruit that are flavourful and top quality. They are the greatest makers of cheese of all kinds in the world. Their cakes are to die for and their cuisine is renouned world wide.
They have a fantastic health service, fast, elegant, punctual and clean trains, beautiful and well kept motorways. They make good cars and have done so for many years and are also leaders in the aeronautic industry ( the first Concorde was made in France). They led the way in designing electrical goods for the home. Their hospitality industry is second to none. Their bone china and crystal are fabulous, and the great glass makers like Gallé were leaders in style last century.
They have numerous stunning cities and many picturesque small towns, beautiful beaches, castles, gardens, abbeys, several mountain ranges, numerous lakes, and miles of coastline. No other country as so many magnificent and numerous medieval cathedrals. Paris is a truly beautiful city and full of wonderful things from art galleries to fantastic shops and it has many open spaces and parks. The palace at Versailles is one of the world wonders.
The standard of education in France is high and many people speak two languages and sometimes more. They have an excellent track record in film making with some of the most famous films ever made filmed by French cineasts with actors and actresses that have become world famous. They have good sportsmen, skaters and ballet dancers.

There must be a reason for the fact that people want to move there from all over the world, including from the USA, and it is the most visited country worldwide.
