It's about 25 km.and from Nice you have trains every half hour.It's a way of 30min.and a ticket costs about 5 euros.

As everyone else has said, it is 21 km and is a short drive.
I would recommend the train - unless you are visiting other areas of France during your visit to Monaco. I imagine parking is expensive.
