Le chateau de Versailles.
House of Louis the XIV th and most beautiful palace in Europe at the time. Remains as one of the "must see" monument in France.
Eiffel Tower or "tour Eiffel" is also a good one but Versailles is more special (less people talk about it).

the normandy war memorial in france, that is the best and most famous place in the world to visit and to do any type of paper, is a very interesting site.

The best monument is probably the mini statue of Liberty as that has quite a bit of interesting history around it.
The French gave the Americans the big statue of Liberty as a presant but Paris has got a little one now.
There are also alot of interesting bridges.
You could also do about the glass pyramids in the Louvre that pretty interesting as Mary Magdelin is supposed to be buried beneth them.
Hope I've helped you good luck!!!

I would say the Obelisque which is place de la concorde, this monument has been given by the egptians and has a long story
