What is the best place to live in the south of france?
im thinking of moving to the south of france for the good food, weather, good fashion and etc etc
Perpignan area is very pleasant, stable weather system, good shopping and eating. Plus it is close to Spanish border and Andorra, both excellent places for food and wine with a little variety thrown in.
TGV due to arrive soon, plus Perpignan airport on the edge of town and Barcelona airport an hour away for long haul international flights.

i live in Nice and i like it...its 20mins away from monaco (or 40 from italy..and/or 45mins from Cannes (u know the famous film festival?)- by bus...it doesnt snow there...but u can take the bus and in a 2hours trip u get into the 'snowy' side of the Alpes!!!!!...is like...we are in the middle of everything...and let m say that the beaches are wonderfuuuuuuul!!people r nice...i shouldnt have made a better choice...but in general, any place in the south of France is gud to live...=)
but take in consideration that life here in the south is quite expensive...comparing to other places of the country

Le Vieil Antibes. A lot of ex pats, mostly english. Quiet, beautiful and only about 3 miles from Nice. The best of all worlds. You can go to Cannes in 15 min. Monaco in 35 to 40 min. I don't think you will find alot of fashion here,it is pretty laid back. We love it.

I used to always go on holiday to Argeles and loved it. Wish I could tell you if it was a good place to live though. Its near the sea but has a lot of tourists.
