What is the best thing to see in Paris, France?

Hard to choose one thing, but of historical value is the Louvre. The most touristy thing would be the Eiffel Tower. The best religious place (hard to pick one!) would be Notre Dame. A close second would be Sacre-Cœur Basilica. The best inexpensive food would be at a café. My favorites were crêpes with Nutella, baguettes, croque-messieurs, Oranginas, and cafés au lait!

One of the best things to see is the Eiffel Tower at night.
Also, the Orsay Gallery and the Louvre, and the gardens by the Palace de Concorde.
Should you need it, I know a lot more.

All of the buildings and landmarks disappearing in the distance as you train takes you to Germany or Belgium or Spain.

i've never been there...

The Eiffel Tower is a must to do in Paris. Here are some websites of places to see. I hope this helps.

The airport...............as your leaving!

Dirty filthy city, full of pickpockets and rude people and if you fell in the Seine you would never get out alive as its so dirty

Hated every minute i was there and couldn't wait to leave

The Louvre, it's the greatest art museum in the world.

I stayed for a week in Paris in January. A lot of the things that I loved have already been mentioned. However a few things that you might want to add to your list..

The catacombs - was previously a quarry. In the olden days (technical term) all the cemeteries in Paris were full and the overcrowding was causing a lot of disease so they disinterred all the bodies and reburied them in the quarry and made decorations out of the bones. A bit macabre, but interesting all the same.

Also, I absolutely loved Sacre Couer at Montmarte. It is a beautiful church - absolutely exquisite inside. Plus afterwards you can check out the village where they have artists painting in the square and the Salvador Dali museum is really good too.

My advice is to take some time just to wander the little back streets as well - that is the way you find the gems!

For a full day's entertainment, visit the Louvre. There are paintings to suit everyone's taste. And sculptures.

Or

A trip on the River Seine - so much to see - many of the river boats give a commentary on all of the history of the places that you will see.

Sainte-Chappelle, it's tiny, but a treasure and right in the middle of the Law Courts. I spent 6 weeks in Paris and it was my favorite place.

Ask for clafoutis at a patisserie (bakery). It's absolutely the best cherry dessert ever and not too sweet.

Learn to ride the Metro, practice a few French phrases, get a map of the Paris arrondisements that you can put in your pocket or purse.
