-Winter: great Xmas decorations and shopping ambiance, especially if snow present (no guarantee). Marche de noel is so nice.
-Fall and spring: beautiful weather, may rain a times. Lower season ie lower price to visit attractions
-Summer: sun, tourists, attractions going strong, few authentic Parisians around in case you wanted to meet them

August, many parisians are gone for vaccation, downtime, and also summer time with great climate!!!

December & January is probably the best time for you to go.
It will be much colder. But with global warming, you can never be too sure.

You should have a better reason to go than wearing a nice coat. Like their pastries & cusine. All the art and history... not to mention the wines & cheese. Celebrating Christmas or New Years in Paris would be fabulous experience.

Except for August, when half the city is closed because everybody is on vacation, there is no bad time to go to Paris.
In my view the best time is April, when the chestnut trees that are lining many avenues are in flower, but as I said - it is beautiful and interesting at any time of the year. April is still a good time to wear a nice coat, but so is November.

I also reckon December and January. I have been there at that time and loved it!! The lights, the snow, the mulled wine. Awesome experience. I love it so much I am going back this December.

I think May is a lovely time to go. Late May or early June. However, I did hear that fall is a great time to go as well. I'd think October is better but I'm not certain.

We went in March. It was still pretty cold then... We wore lots of layers of clothing and gloves most days. It also rained the entire time :(
