I'm planning a trip to Paris in the spring (and soo excited to go). I was wondering in anyone had suggestions/reccomendations of places you love in Paris or have heard things about.

I'm in the northwest, what's the cheapest way? Easy Jet from London? A ferry over? What's a budget way to travel over north France while i'm there aswell, train?...
What was the capital city's name in ancient roman times and what is its nickname today? Also, what museum in this country is home to the worlds most famous painting?
I need the answers as ...
I already know what sights I'm going to see, but are there any items that you can only get in France that would be interesting to bring back to America to wear/use/share, etc?...

What is the best website to find cheap accomodations in Paris?
I have the mother of all answers to this question. I have twice used www.intervac.com to exchange my home for accomodations in Paris and in Provence. It is the oldest and best home exchange website in existence. It is by far the cheapest and most delightful form of travel possible. I had a villa at the beach for all of last July and a pentouse in Paris in 2005. Parisians love to visit family. And even if you live in Death Valley they might have family that lives close by and want to exchange with you. This is a round about way of doing travel but by far it is the very best I have found and it only costs sixty five dollars to join. The accomodations are completely free.

I have a couple of deals for Paris on my desk. Have you contacted your Travel Agent. I'm sure they have some as well.
