What is the cheapest airline in France that goes to Italy and Spain?

I live in Lyon, France and I would like to get to Florence and Madrid for less than 100 Euros each way. I am having difficulty finding a cheap airline that flies outside my city.

1) for Florence you should explore the option to go to Pise Airport, and then you have a short and cheap ride on train. If you don't know Pise and have enough time in Florence (if such thing is possible), you should spent a few hours on the Piazza dei Miracoli, it's worth it (the tower, the Duomo, the baptistère, the cemetery)

I flew an easyjet line from Paris to Pise last year, but they don't operate from Lyon. Air France and Alitalia do, but I'm not sure it's cheaper than to Florence. Train or plane Paris and then easyjet to Pise might be cheaper.

2) Don't forget that the cheaper option to Florence is clearly the train. From Lyon, you connect to the "Artesia" night train in Dijon. I found a ticket at 80€ on the sncf website, and you can select a better class for still less than the plane.

http://www.voyages-sncf.com/billet-train/resultats?hid=8

I have to add that taking the night train to Italy is the utlimate mythicval/traditionnal experience for french travellers. You might not sleep 100% well, but get to arrive directly in the city at an early hour, the perfect time to take your first expresso in a café (with a "cornetto", of course).
And you get to learn the famous sentence "E pericoloso sporgersi" (il est dangereux de se pencher au-dehors). If you choose that option, I recommend that you read "la maldonne des sleepings", by Tonino Benacquista. It a thriller that takes place in the night train to Italy.

3) For Madrid you seem to have got all the answers from others.

easyjet goes from Lyon to Madrid for a published fare of around € 85.00

On Florence I could only find AF - and that via Zurich.

If you look at the time table for florence, they list the different airlines which fly to there....below is the link

Iberian Airlines, definitely.
I live in Athens, Greece and it's the cheapest airline I've traveled on so far.

I am going to give you the only piece of advice that was given to me for finding cheap travel deals, and it works to this day... Compare as many travel websites as you can as often as you can. Since you have a few months, start searching today and search the flights every week until the month before you are going. If anything is unusually cheaper, book it on that date. I would definitely recommend checking out BookMe dot com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites from one location, and save tons of money. Good luck!
