If you want to travel by Eurostar, fares will vary according to your personal circumstances, like age etc...Some trains also are cheaper if you travel on trains running at the less popular times and if you are younger than 26 the return fare can be as little as £49. Here is all the information:

If you are travelling from a UK city in the provinces it may be cheaper to book an off peak ticket from your town to Dover then take an off peak ferry and transfer at Calais to a French train, but it involves several transfers with luggage whilst the Eurostar is hassle free, and it purports to be the cheapest way to travel between London and Paris.
Planes may be cheaper if you use one of the cut price airlines and book well ahead, but it takes longer as you often have to get to airports that are inconvenient to reach and, if you drive yourself there, there are hefty parking fees. Air journey are often no faster than Eurostar as you have to wait in airports for the flights which also may be delayed (or cancelled ) and planes often get stacked in mid-air prior to landing, adding to the length of the journey.

The cheapest way is to go by ferry, but a plane or the train are much faster though

Swim. Its not cheap to take the tunnel. A ferry is about the same amount as flying but you also have to factor in how much petrol you use driving there. Flying would be your best bet. (I'm guessing you are from the U.K.) Check out Ryanair.com or Jet2.com

by airplane its not expensive but longer, for eurostar you have to buy 6 month before the travel to have good prices
