The cheapest is to take RER line B to Châtelet-les Halles. From there you can either walk (choose the rue Berger exit), it's about 5 minutes, or take métro line 1 (direction La Défense) and get off at the first or second stop, depending on where your apartment is. The trip costs 8.20 euros and is also the fastest.

You can check the Paris métro website there: http://www.ratp.fr/ and display the page in English to look at métro maps, do a trip planning, find the closest stops to your apartment etc.

The bus mentioned above (Roissy Bus) costs 8.60 euros but it takes much longer because of traffic conditions on the highway. Enjoy your stay in Paris!

The cheapest way?....Subway. Take the RER, you won't have trouble moving with your small suitcase.

I spent two separate week-long vacations renting an apartment near there, and I took RER B to Chatelet-Les Halles. Depending on the exact location of your apartment, you may transfer to Metro Ligne 1 (La Defense) or you might walk.

Tips:
Check www.mappy.fr to get walking directions from the station to your apartment.

Buy a return RER ticket before you leave the airport, but be sure not to get it confused with a regular metro ticket. When you get back to the airport, if you don't have the right ticket, you can't get out of the station and into the airport. Found out the hard way and had to climb over the turnstiles. I was VERY lucky not to get caught because there's a big fine involved.

Take the 'limo'... it's really a bus but it will take you from Chas. DeGaulle to the stop at the old opera house... then you can walk from there... it's about 10 blocks to the Louvre and the bus driver can point which way to go.
