What is the most famous airport in France? I know this might bring opinions instead of answers...

The newest and largest is evidently Charles Degaulle in Roissy north of Paris. But the two other parisian airports are Le Bourget, the first international airport built in France, (1919) It is historically one of the most famous, being the place where Charles Lindbergh landed in may 1927. It is still in use, and also contains the Museum of Aviation and Space and in alternate years holds the Salon Internationale de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace.
Orly airport, south of Paris is the second of the parisian airports. It has been in use since WWII , remodeled in the early sixties, and again in the seventies

Charles de Gaulle (CDG) also called Roissy (the city where the airport is located) is the biggest and so the most famous.

Suddenly Me
Charles De Gaulle I think.

Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG). Been there a few times and dislike it very much due to it very slow to go through ticketing. Also the airport isn't very interesting.

Considering that it's apparently the world's second busiest airport (in terms of passenger traffic), I'd have to agree with those who answered Charles de Gaulle airport: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World's_busiest_airports_by_international_passenger_traffic

I'd say CDG.
I don't know if it's the famous, but it's no doubt the biggest

Paris Charles de Gaule named after the most famous French president

mebonnet
Charles de Gualle is probably the most well known and famous as it's the big international hub in Paris, Roissy is more for domestic and European flights from my understanding. The other airports in France are small and I can't think of any reason off the top of my head nor have I ever heard of them in reference to anything special... so CDG I'm sure can be agreed to be the most famous.

What a dumb question!
Charles de Gaulle airport is certainly the biggest.
"Famous" as defined by known by the largest number of people?
One way would be to take a random sample (but how could you be sure your sample was random?) of 1000 people out of the total world population and ask them which airport in France they have heard of.

Why do you ask anyway?
