It will certainly be cold but you can still have a very nice time in Paris.

The average high temperature in December is 7 degrees Celsius/45 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average low is 2 Celsius, 36 Fahrenheit. There is snow an average of two days in the month.

The cold weather means that the tourist population will be low and tourist sights will be easily accessible. That also means that you'll get the best deals on airfare and hotels.

Paris also dresses up at Christmas time and shopping is great.

The weather in Paris in December is cold, wet and miserable. All the outside dining areas are closed and you are constantly cold... If you plan to go to Paris in December, be sure to pack some warm running clothes... to wear under your good clothes.

I'll tell you in January.
But you can certainly have a nice stay in Paris. Sunbathing is out. But so is skiing.

Mostly overcast, lots of rain, cold, but not often freezing. Snow fall is rare in Paris. Plus, Paris is as far north as the US-Canada border, so you can expect maximum 6 hours of daylight in December.

Come to Cape Town instead. Beautiful weather.
