Oh Paris is soooo romantic during Autumn. Normally it is quite warm during the day (t-shirts) and the evenings you may need a sweater or a cardi. But having said that weather is so adverse these days it's quite hard to compare one year to another.

I suggest you check the weather every week about a month prior to your trip. Try: http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/FRXX0076.html.

Warm city like clothing. Pack light though. You may want to buy something there. Hard to get appropriate clothing here.

Ooh Paris is wonderful destinations for honeymoon or for couple, and it very chilling in October, i think you should wear long coat and boots, and go enjoy a warm cup of coffe in the Eiffel tower.
Au revoir!

My sister and I went with my grandmother in April a few years ago and we thought the weather would be nice so we didn't bother to pack anything warm. It rained a lot and was so cold. We wished we had packed a fur jacket for the trip and a pair of fur boots. It actually hailed one day. So, I can't say what the weather will be like in October but I am guessing that since it was so cold in April it will not be much better in October.
