toulouse is the capital city of the south west part of france and you find there all the sprecialities of south west. the most famous are :
- foie gras !!
- preserved duck
- Toulouse sausage
- cassoulet : butterbeans with pork, toulouse sausage, preserved duck.....
- violette candies (with a special violette from toulouse)
- blood sausage with apples
- Armagnac (alcohol, not far from brandy or cognac)
- jurançon wines... and many many others from bordelais, languedoc, frontonnais or gaillac...
- Roquefort cheese and many other cheeses from mountains (Pyrenean or Central mountains) just like cabécous (goat cheese)...

The speciality of Toulouse is the "Cassoulet" a very good meal especially in winter (as it is not the lightest dish of french gastronomy ...). It is made of white beans, lamb and or goose, sausage, pork, garlic, ...
The more you cook it again, the better it is !

demoune
hum the best cassoulet foie gras sausagees...

French food is very diverse and covers all the food groups.
For breakfast you can have eggs, bread & jam, lunch a
sandwich (casse croute) with ham & cheese and dinner a lovely steak with pepper sauce. Of course, there are the
specialties from snails, stews and meats & cheeses to the incredible french pastries of all kinds.
You can not go hungry in France, the food is too good.
