Personalities vary within any country and there are no specifically French stereotypes.

On the whole French girls are more reserved, less outgoing and less excitable than Americans, unless they are in a close circle of friends or family. It does not prevent them from being quite upbeat though. They like to dress well and do not go very much for British eccentricities or revealing too much flesh, except when they are on a beach, as they are quite modest. They keep boys at arm's length and are keen to keep a good reputation. Boyfriends is something that only starts when you are over sixteen.

Boys are boys the world over, but again French boys on the whole are more reticent and conservative than their American or British counterparts unless they are with friends. They are quite are attracted to notions of chivalry and courtesy, though obviously some can be quite rude and arrogant, out of which they tend to grow out eventually. They like to stick together and serious relationships with girls only start in their late teens.
School hours are long in France, and pupils have loads of homework, so generally boys and girls go home straight after school and do not hang about. If they go out it is at the week-end or if and when they have no school mid-week. Generally they spend a lot of time with their family, and they have less freedom than in English speaking countries.

I guess more laid back and not at all into brands like American girls are.
And surely no "easy" like you guys like to think of us.
And the boys are much more gentleman and are often thought of as girly actually compared to you
