Hi,
They use Euros. They stopped using Franc a long time ago.

Sanmigsean
Francs haven't existed in over 5 years! Unbelievable how uninformed some people are, not even the central bank will buy back Francs anymore.

In France, French people use Euros.

niclef
They use Euro as most of other European countries. (not England)
They switched from French francs to euro on January 1st 2002.

For your information today November 29th 2006 1 euro = about 1.32 $

I hope that some of you just want to make a joke with the Francs! If it is not the case, please open your mind to others. In France we use Euros!

On January 1st 2002, France switched its official currency from franks to EUROS. Euros were worth 90 us cents for the euro back then. Almost 5 years later, the euro is worth about $1.25 or so. You can look up a currency converter on Yahoo.

Euros. Dollar when visiting North America. Pesos when they go to Mexico. Etc.

French money now, is Euro. Of course I could say "European" money, but over here, there a special design for coins.

With the links, you'll find the different coins (of all the European countries using Euro), and on the second, the banknotes.

Looking at some answer when people think that francs are still in use in france, i understand better about all the stereotype still in use in the USA.
Euros are in use in france since the 1st january 2002.
Some people should start using their brain and do some research.

Formely French Francs, nowadays Euros in France. But if you take into account France with its DOMs TOMs some French People use the Francs CFA (Tahiti for instance). If you take into account the French People living all over the world they use the currency in the country they are living !!!!

Discover France at http://www.c-lafrance.com/ !

francs are the most widely acceptible in France. Of course they could choose a couple of other recognized currencies like Euro's or Dollars but Francs are the norm.
