Anywhere that has a beach! :)

France has a very long coastline. You need to look at a map.

Brittany is almost surrounded by coast. Normandy has a coast. Picardy has a coast. Bordeaux. Provence. To name but a few regions.

Northern France?, Western France? South of France?
In the northerly area, I'm quite keen on the area around Port Manech, in Brittany (I even found an almost deserted beach at Riec sur Belon). The Vendee region has some good seaside areas - I especially like La Tranche sur Mer (fairly quiet).
Quite honestly, the best thing to do is to get a map of France and just look at the enormous coastline and see how many places are by the sea.
If you are driving you may wish to stay in Normandy or Brittany
Perhaps pin-point some names then come back and ask us what we think of them

Cannes is just soooo good you have to go there

The coast.

Try Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Nice, Avignon, Normandy, Brittany.

Guiggypop :'-I
Normandie, Bretagne, vendée, Aquitaine, Charente, Pays basques, on Atlantic coast

Roussillon, Languedoc, Camargue, Provence, Cote d'azur, Corse island (very beautiful) on mediteranean coast

Reunion island on indian ocean

Tahiti on pacific ocean

minilissiegirl
le touquet - it is a small but beautiful town on the coast, its not far from the euro tunnel, and it is full of culture.

the downside is that it is not in south france

grodno
Le Touquet, a very nice seaside resort close to England, about an hours drive from Calais.

If its in summer and you want heat obviously, cannes, nice, Marseille, could go to Monaco, Bordeaux, Les Sables d'olonne... the list goes on. If you go to Calais or Nomandie, it will be the north sea kind of weather, basically Brighton but looking north rather than south. Its best to go to the Mediterranean beaches (a lot more suave, where you will find St Tropez where all the A-List celebs go, or Atlantic (where there is the second best waves in the world (after hawaii)).
