What should I pack for travel to Paris, and I'm a woman?

Additional Details
To be specific, and this is for Andreji, I would like to know what is good for wearing. I heard it's similar to New York, meaning sophisticated, prim and no sweats.

Despite Paris being the fashion capital of the world, the only woman I ever encountered strutting down the Rue du Fbg St. Honore in a fur coat and OTT hairdo was Texan.

And although blunt, Andreij IS correct about Paris being just another city: some dress up, some dress down: http://www.teengirlclothing.com/StreetChicpmarch04.html

That said, Paris IS cosmopolitan, and the French have a particular knack for accessories and clothes that fit well:
http://www.metrocity.nl/

So, what to pack? big sunglasses, fitted jeans, a huge handbag, slacks, a flouncy skirt, a couple of not too skinny tees, two or three fitted jackets, something white, something with flowers, flats, boots, heels, some wonderful scarfs, the hat you've been dying to wear, and a dress which makes you feel like a million euros...

If you want to be 'au courant', have a look at the following sites before you go, or get a hold of the actual magazines: usually they compare catwalk to street, to see what trends have crossed over:
http://www.marieclaire.fr
http://www.elle.fr (check out 'boutique mode')

and some shops/brands:
http://www.comptoirdescotonniers.com
http://www.agnesb.fr
http://www.galerieslafayette.com
http://www.zara.com (I know it's Spanish, but it's popular)

And don't forget, once you're there, make time to shop...
