What this this sandwhicch made of, bought by the Bells of Notra Dame?

I was recently in France by them Bells and we were just to theleft of the entrance of the church. I bought this sandwhich outside a cafe. It had ham and chesse in it and when i bought it the ldy like put it under a grill for a few seconds. It was AMAZING! Does anyone know what it was and what the bread was and how i can make one!

It's a panini. The bread used is the Ciabatta, Spanish or italian bread, I don't remember.
The cheese usually used is the italian cheese "mozzarella". Tomatoes, "fumé" jam (i don't know the word in english, sorry), and a good oil with "Herbes de Provence".
You might find every thing in an Italian store.

Panini is either american white slice bread or french baguette and french ham (you can find an imported French Ham in the US(brand is Madrange), cheese was probably COMTE or GRUYERE, (also can be found in the US), it has to be "squeezed in a grill like device
