What would be appropriate clothing for Paris in early/ mid October? |
I'll be in Paris for a few days in October and am not sure how cold it gets there. According to weather almanacs the temperature in mid October is between 65 high to 50 low at night. Which doesn't seem to bad. Would jeans, tshirt and a jacket be enough?
Does it get rainy? |

sorry, I don't know the F° conversion, but in october, it's fall in north France. This season is rather annoying, beacuse usually you could have rain, clouds, freshness and wind, or summer temperature and sunshine. All in the same day!
Jeans, tsh and jacket will be enough, though don't forget to take some sweaters, as from 6pm the temperatures begin to fall a little. And don't forget that you will have rain!! It's fall after all, just between end of summer and beginning of winter...
One more thing : we had a very, very bad august so maybe fall will be sweet and sunny!! |

I was in Paris Last October and it was in the 50's to low 60's. And it was cloudy and drizzly the entire time. I didnt pack enough warm clothes, I figured it would feel alot nice then it did.
I would go with a decent mix. No need for mid summer clothes, but maybe a couple of things you might wear on a mild spring day, along with a few light sweaters and and windbreaker or rain jacket. That would most likely have you covered. Dress for what you would on an early April day in the North East. |

If you plan on walking alot, bring a light weight windbreaker. That will keep you warm when zipped and dry when it rains. |

In October you can't know what the weather will be for sure. You might still get a nice warm weather (though considering how it has been the last few weeks I don't think so), or it can be already wintertime
Take some warm clothes, and of course it is going to rain, so be prepared. Good shoes are mandatory, you walk a lot there |
