I'm with Luca on this one (although I am an American): What's with this "All Americans hate the French" and vice versa? I LOVE the French! Their language is beautiful and culture is unique. And all this French-hate just makes America looks worse to the French :(

these kind of questions are just creating more useless tension between the peoples of two important countries!

thats assuming theyre gonna be rude, which is lame because they arent. if you go to their country, you should at least attempt to make an effort at learning some key french words instead of expecting everyone to speak your own.

I am upset to hear and read that americans people hate french. I am french and i went in NY for the christmas holidays. I really aprreciated the way you talk with somebody you don't know and i recognise that in France we are not use to do like that. The "first" contact is effectively rude. Even if we have the same way of life (occidental) we have a different culture. We accept Asian, American, Arabic culture... and i think instead of to find reasons about the hate you have for the french you should accept the difference of culture.

If you come in France you will meet of course stupid people (but i think it is like that all over the world) but you will also meet faboulus persons who like americans and they will try to do the best for your stay.

Here is what I think as a fellow French guy of our people, we :
- are a bit lazy
- suck a learning foreign languages
- have really dumb politicals governing us ( be it the left hand side and the right hand side )
- get something we always want more
