Tom has the right answer, to which I'd just add that the e with the accent that he's alluding to (for the feminine version of the name) can be typed by using the "ALT" key and typing 138 (using the numbers on the bottom right of your keyboard): è- Michèle. For other accents (possibly useful if you're taking French at school): http://www.starr.net/is/type/altnum.htm

Tom
Woo hoo, I can answer that! :-)
The masculine form of Michael in French is MICHEL, which is just at popular a name than Michael.
When for a woman, you can spell it either MICHELLE or MICHELE (with a backward accent on the first 'e', which I can't find on my comp).
Hope this helps. Take care.

Michel is the masculine French version of Michael, not Michelle, though it's pronounced Meeshel.

cemaro
The male version in French is M I C H E L.
Michelle with the addition of an l and an e is the femenine version.

Although the sound may seem similar, the spelling is not.

Michelle too - just like SAM can be both a boy or a girl in england

Michel is a masculine french first name.

The feminine is Michelle.

Easy :)
