The late spring or the early fall are the times to go.

The summer is a poor choice because that is when the city is over run with tourists. Prices go up, everything is crowded, and local tempers fray with the strain. Air conditioning is less common in France than in the United States and, if you're an American, you're likely to find summer a sweaty experience, especially in reasonably priced accomodations.

I've been visiting France a lot of times. Depending the zone, but the best time is in spring or autum. The summer ist very good time too.

Any time is the best time. Enjoy!!!

Spring is a wonderful time to visit. Because of the Paris Latitude, nightfall occurs later so that you have light until 9:00 or 10:00 PM. It is rainy in November, but not coming down in buckets. Winter is not cold, as in some other places. Probably Summer is the most difficult because of the influx of tourist in June, July and August.

I was there last year between the 19th of November and December 2nd. It was great! There weren't very many tourist the lines to get in to all the museums and landmarks were very small. The weather was cool between 30F-50F degrees. If you are from the states Rick Steves has a great Paris travel book, I suggest you use it.
