Cranky Yankee
Absolutely. You'll blend right in.

englishteagirl
no. or you will suffer more abuse not only for being american, but for being smelly and hairy.
i don't know where this assumption comes from that french people do not shave or use deoderant, but as a visitor of france many times it most certainly isnt true.

messageboardpirate
You foolish troll. If it were not for the French, we would be speaking English. You dont deserve to go to France, so why dont you go to england with the rest of the riffraff instead.

mamour
what year do you think french people are living in?
french people (women) DO shave and wear deodorant!
and french women get waxed !
why not just stay in the US if this is what you think of France?
France is not starved for tourist such as you !save your dollars.. it is not worth in Europe anyway, we have the EUROS ...
(french woman answering you)
or you can go and show your real hygiene..i have smelled bad odors in the US just as in any other country.

ps:
if you had traveled before outsides of the US? you would certainly not say this. so? why not go to your local lake on vacation have a barbecue and save money?
i thank you NOT for your dumb humour !

You're so.....american.

PS: Did you know that "deodorant" is a french word? No matter, if you're stupid as I think you are, you won't understand.

angelguy_paris
Another proof that American are very ignorant, your view about other country is so bad..no wonder than 80% of this planet think that you are a country full of FAT idiots!!!

For GOD sake pls stay in US !!!!

WISE OWL
OF COURSE it would be okay! I expect all your possessions will fit in just one bag that travels with you in the cabin, so the razor and deodorant will be confiscated by Americans before you even reach the plane.
You can treat yourself to excellent razors and really effective deodorants anywhere in France when you arrive there. Why bother filling your luggage with inferior products when you can get excellent ones elsewhere?
Incidentally, I can also recommend French soaps, shaving cream, and aftershave lotions that are absolutely fantastic and never fail to transform pond life into desirable human beings.

TheCite
Relax everyone, this guy's obviously just being an idiot to try and make you all mad.
No one could be this stupidly offensive.

ouragon
More and more of the French are using deodorant and shaving these days. Not all, but more.

david464014
Safest really, particularly if you are female. French women are hairy and smelly - just the way Frenchmen prefer them (and me for that matter). If you try and enter France with any shampoo, deodorant, shaving equipment or soap then they are liable to be confiscated.
