I lived in France when #4 came out and the UK version was sold in France at the same time as the UK if my memory is correct (if not it was a very short time thereafter). The translated version however took something like 4 months to be released (lucky for you, you prefer the original). So I would think Saturday morning when shops open you should be good to go. If you want to be sure go into any FNAC (or other book store) and ask them.
You can't read French but does that mean you can speak it?

I presume you are holidaying in France.
So, use your time to take in plenty of French culture - wine, women, song, food, etc. You can read HP when you get home.
It's usually published at the same time as in England, from bookstores like WH Smith and Brentanos in Paris. The price will be quite a bit higher than in the UK.
